I want to wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and a super 2007 ! Thanks for your generosity in remembering our shut-ins and others at this time of year. Several classes and LIFE groups have shared some special times together. And our Christmas party on Dec. 9 was outstanding. Thanks to Rita and Dave Woolums and all their helpers for a lot of work.. We also appreciate all that Ed Birdwell does to get our entertainment ready each year. And thanks to Jill Fields for organizing the party at the same time for the kids, and to Joel Singleton for making the DVD. (If you would like a copy, call the office.) Special times with our church family mean so much….

As 2006 ends it’s good to visit our theme Doing Good to All again. Gal 6:10 tells us to take advantage of all the opportunities we have to do good to others. Our theme will change in 2007 but let’s remember to look for opportunities to do good to all people….

The end of the year also provides us the opportunity to look back at how we have been blessed in the past year. I am so thankful for all of you. One member who had been traveling told me how her trip helped her realize how much she missed Northwest. Our staff and elders and deacons as well as other members are such a joy to work with. Thank you for all your cooperation in God’s service this year….

Congratulations to our treasurer Jim Myers. Friday night he was inducted into the Boca Ciega High School Sports Hall of Fame. It’s good to see one of the “good guys" do so well. I hope he doesn’t want more money to play for the Northwest Mules now….
