Upcoming Youth Actvities

High School Hangout
January 10th we are going to have our first official High School Hangout. This will be the first of many. We hope to have a high school hangout at least once a month. High Schoolers are still welcome Tuesday. It will be from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm and will be at the Samek’s House.

Service Day
We are having a service day February 2nd at 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. We will have a few different groups doing different duties. Adults, I need plenty of chaperones for this event.

Winterfest
It is that time again. Winterfest is right around the corner. We leave Thursday Night on Feb. 14th and we return Sunday Night on the 18th. We will be taking those who are currently in the 8th grade and up. We will leave on Thursday Night as usual from the Church building at 10:00 pm. We will will return to the Church building late Sunday night. The cost for this event is $65 dollars, not including the cost of food which includes a total of 9 meals (6 fast food meals and 3 medium expense restaurants). The cost this year will be the same as last year at $65 dollars per person. To reserve your spot you must pay a $30 deposit. Keep in mind we are only taking the bus so spots will be taken quickly. I will begin taking the deposits on January 1st and I need the deposit no later than Tuesday night Jan. 30. Also, everyone needs to have a medical release form. The medical release form is available for download on the forms page of our website.

Video Scavenger Hunt
By now all of you should know what the video scavenger hunt is and how fun it is. This year it will be on Saturday, March 1st. It will be at the Youth house this time. We will meet at 1:00 pm and start the adventure by 1:30 pm. Please eat lunch before you come. We will finish up at 7:00 pm. Parents, if you want to watch your teen’s videos, be at the youth house at 6:00 pm. Pizza will be provided for dinner. Please bring $5 to participate in this event.

King and Queen of Putt-Putt
King and Queen of Putt Putt will be March 14th. We will meet at the church building at 5:45 pm and leave at 6:00 pm. Please eat dinner before you come. We will return around 9:00 pm -9:15 pm. The winning guy and girl will receive their name on the huge king and queen of putt putt trophy. The cost will be $8. Please dress in true golfer attire, that includes goofy hats and plaid pants. These items are best found at the thrift store.

This summer we will have two interns. Dylan Fabrizio will be our guy intern. He is a sophomore at Harding and is from South Carolina. Sara Beth Myers will be our girl intern for the summer. I think you all know where she is from.
